Terms and Conditions

1. Terms used in this document.

1.1. “customer” refers to the individual, firm or company purchasing goods and/or services from Jason’s PC Services.

1.2. “good/s” refers to the components, products or services ordered/purchased by the customer from Jason’s PC Services.

2. Quotes.

2.1. Quotes are valid for a period of seven days from the date of quote.

2.2. Every attempt is made to meet quoted estimates for the duration of work; however unforeseen difficulties and problems can be encountered during service which would result in a final invoice of greater value than quoted.

2.3. Availability and prices for quoted product/components is subject to change without notice, every attempt will be made to secure the items at the prices quoted however this cannot be guaranteed and final invoicing will reflect any changes in price or product.

3. Invoicing and Payments.

3.1. Payment for goods and services is due prior to or on supply of goods and/or completion of service unless previously arranged in advance with Jason’s PC Services.

3.2. Cheques are accepted under the understanding that they will be paid upon first presentation. In the event of any cheques being dishonoured an alternative form of payment will be payable immediately including any and all fees and charges resulting from the dishonoured cheque.

3.3. Jason’s PC Services policy of not charging a customer when unable to fix a problem applies for a maximum of one hour service call to determine if a problem is repairable or not. Additionally if a fix is possible, but the customer chooses not to carry out the repairs, then the fixed or free policy does not apply and the customer will be invoiced for the service call. This fixed or free policy does not cover peripheral devices such as but not limited to monitors, scanners, external drives, and usb devices.

3.4. Late payment or incomplete payment of invoices outside of the trading terms detailed in this document, or outside of agreed terms between the customer and Jason’s PC Services may incur a $33 late payment fee.

4. Warranty on Goods and Services.

4.1. Goods provided by but not installed by Jason’s PC Services will not be covered by Jason’s PC Services; the customer must deal directly with the manufacturer.

4.2. Any goods returned for refund must be in the original packaging and in a clean and resalable condition. Any goods returned in a condition not meeting this requirement can be refused for refund or subject to additional restocking fees.

4.3. Sales of all software are final and no software is returnable.

4.4. Any faults detected in goods or services must be reported within 48 hours of invoicing of goods or services.

4.5. E-mail and telephone support are offered free-of-charge to current clients, though repeated or lengthy support will be subject to the standard hourly rate. Businesses interested in arranging for extended technical support (phone, e-mail, and remote assistance) may negotiate a service contract.

4.6. New goods purchased from Jason’s PC Services are covered by manufacturer’s warranty. If these goods are returned to the distributor or manufacturer for testing and found to have no fault, the customer will be responsible for any fees incurred such as freight to and from the distributor or manufacturer or service charges from the distributor or manufacturer.

4.7. Warranties on some goods may extend over twelve months at which point the responsibility for the warranty becomes the customers to deal directly with the manufacturer.

4.8 Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

4.9 Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

5. Liability and Ownership of Goods.

5.1. Title and ownership of any goods purchased from Jason’s PC Services remains with Jason’s PC Services until such time as full payment is received. Responsibility for any damage caused to or by goods not fully paid for remains the customers responsibility and at their cost.

5.2. Jason’s PC Services can recover the goods at any time if the buyer is in breach of these terms and conditions or if Jason’s PC Services considers its ownership of the goods jeopardised by the customer continuing to hold the goods.

5.3. Any property supplied to Jason’s PC Services by or on behalf of the customer shall, while it is in possession of Jason’s PC Services or in transit to or from the customer, be deemed to be at the customer’s risk and the customer shall insure accordingly.

5.4. Jason’s PC Services accepts no responsibility for the loss of data during repair or upgrade service. Data will not be transferred from disk to disk unless this specific service is requested and agreed to prior to the service starting.

5.5. Jason’s PC Services accepts no liability or responsibility for third party faults or faults outside of its control such as but not limited to Internet service providers, telephone providers, power companies, lightning strikes, power surges, software and hardware bugs or the misuse or abuse (intentional or otherwise) of goods.

5.6. Jason’s PC Services will not be responsible for any consequential, incidental, or collateral damage, wether direct or indirect and resulting from the use/misuse of any goods supplied by it.

5.7. Licensing and registration of any software provided to Jason’s PC Services by the customer is solely the customer’s responsibility. Jason’s PC Services will work under the assumption that all software provided to them by the customer is fully licensed and registered.
